Privacy Policy

Account information. Name, mobile number, email address, chamber or firm name, and password. We collect this when you register, or when your organization's owner adds you as a team member.

Case and client data. Case details, hearing records, client names and contact numbers, documents, fee records, and notes that you or your organization enter into LawNex to run your practice. This data belongs to you and your organization. See Section 3 for how we handle it.

Usage and journey data. We track how you move through the product: the pages and features you visit, the actions you take, session duration, device and browser type, and your general location from your IP address. We collect this using standard analytics and session cookies.

Billing information. Your subscription plan, billing cycle, and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on LawNex's own servers.

• To provide, maintain, and secure the LawNex service.
• To understand product usage and journey data, so we can improve the product and give you a better customer experience. This helps us see which features are useful, where users get stuck, and what to build next.
• To communicate with you. This includes service notices, billing, and any hearing or SMS reminders you set up. Where allowed, it also includes product updates and marketing about LawNex. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. You cannot opt out of essential service notices while your account is active.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Case and client information you store in LawNex is confidential. It belongs to you and your organization. We process this content only to provide the service to you, for example sending the SMS reminders you set up. We do not read, use, or share this content for our own analytics or marketing. Each organization's data is kept separate from every other organization on LawNex.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers we use to run LawNex, including our SMS gateway, email delivery, cloud hosting and storage, and payment processing. Each is bound by confidentiality obligations and only receives what it needs to provide its service.
• Law enforcement or regulators, if required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
• Meta and Google, for ad measurement, when you submit our registration form. We send them a one-way cryptographic hash of your email and phone number - never the plaintext values - so they can match your visit to the ad that brought you here. This helps us understand which ads work, and it does not affect the case and client data covered in Section 3.
• A new owner, if LawNex is acquired by or merged into another company.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and keeping each organization's data separate from every other organization's. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We work hard to protect your data, and we will notify you if we learn of a breach affecting it.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time from within LawNex, or by contacting us as described below. If you no longer need case or client data you have stored, it is your responsibility to delete it.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to understand product usage, as described in Section 1. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in.

LawNex is a professional tool for licensed advocates and law chamber staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the product before the change takes effect.
